I have been a director in the firm since 1999 and am a chartered accountant. I am married with a son and a daughter and my spare time is mostly spent supporting the kids with their sporting interests and hobbies.
Cricket is my favourite sport and while I played it for a number of years I now enjoy watching it and following the kids' cricket. For fitness I enjoy walking. Since entering my first half marathon in 2009 I have completed many events including the 100km Oxfam Trail Blazer in 2011 (25 1/2 hours).
I'm involved in a number of community groups including serving on the NPOB Cricket Club committees, FDMC Board of Trustees and Seniorcare committee.
After completing my bachelor's degree at Waikato University I started working in a chartered accounting firm in Northland in the mid nineties. My family & I moved to Taranaki in 1999. I became a director (partner) in The Accounting Room in 2005. A Chartered Accountant, I am also a Xero Certified Advisor and so can help clients with their online needs. My interests include surfing, running and swimming.
I joined the team at The Accounting Room in 2005 initially working in the tax area then becoming the business manager in 2011. Previously I have worked in a legal firm, the hospital, and the Ministry of Justice and my strengths lie in administration.
I take care of the requirements at the Companies Office for our clients, including setting up and incorporating a company, changes to directorship and shareholdings, and annual returns. I am also the Anti-Money Laundering & Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML) compliance officer and perform other general administration work.
My interests include my family, going to the beach, and playing bridge. I love a good book and have all 72 Agatha Christie detective novels, so if you need help to track down a jewel thief I’m your lady.
My role in reception is varied from answering the phone to preparing Financial Statements. I have worked in the accounting industry, mostly alongside Anthony, since leaving school.
Family plays a large part in my life. I have a son who is doing a Building Apprenticeship and a daughter who is attending New Plymouth Girls High School.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time at the beach, going to the Gym, walking, gardening and watching the children playing their sport.
After graduating from high school, I started working in a Chartered Accountants office in Stratford in before moving to this firm in 2005.
I completed the New Zealand Diploma in Business and qualified as an Accounting Technician with the CAANZ in 2012. I continued on with studying and completed the Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accounting. In April 2016 I became an Associate Chartered Accountant.
I prepare financial statements, income tax, GST and PAYE returns for a diverse range of clients. I am also a MYOB Approved Partner and a Xero Certified Adviser, so I can help assist clients with their MYOB and Xero accounting programs.
My interests are Scottish Country Dancing, speedway, cross stitch, reading and looking after my cat called Callie.
I have worked in the accounting industry for over 20 years, both in corporate and chartered accountancy positions and have a Bachelor of Business Studies. I have been contracting to The Accounting Room since 2000 and decided to join the inhouse team in 2011.
I am married with two daughters. We live in a lifestyle block, which is home to some beefies, some old racehorses, and my daughters' ponies. Most weekends see me out and about towing the float to various pony club events. As a family, we enjoy a lot of sports (as couch potatoes) and especially enjoy thoroughbred racing.
I am an Associate Chartered Accountant and joined the firm in February 2013. I actually love accounting because I enjoy dealing with clients and the variety of work (from commercial to farming ) is challenging and job satisfying. Helping clients and team members is very rewarding for me and clients are my focus.
Outside of accounting, my interests are exercise, fashion, travelling and home/family life. My spare time is spent with family and close friends.
I moved to New Zealand in 2001 from Zimbabwe. I was in Auckland for a year before moving to New Plymouth.
I have been working in the Accounting Industry for the last 20 years and joined The Accounting Room in April 2006. I prepare financial statements, GST returns & income tax returns for a range of industries including rental properties, commercial & hospitality.
I completed the NZ Diploma in Business Studies in 2002 before embarking on an accounting career. I have been employed by The Accounting Room since 2006 and am well versed in their accounting systems. I handle the Banklink queries for our clients.
I am married with two active kids and play tennis and badminton on a regular basis.
I started working for The Accounting Room in April 2011. Previously I worked for the IRD for 17 years and then the last 11 years for local commercial businesses. I manage the tax system and am responsible for sending out all those nasty tax bills. I also backup the Receptionist.
I enjoy a variety of sports including running, walking, pilates and golf.
After 15 years at the IRD undertaking various roles with a focus on debt collection, I thought it was time for a change. I joined The Accounting Room in July 2014. I have a varied role as a receivables officer, IRD debt management and as an ACC liaison which I am thoroughly enjoying. I work part time which allows for a great work/life balance.
My family is my top priority and I enjoy travelling, reading and spending time on the beach when the Taranaki weather allows.
I have been involved with office work all my working career and started working with The Accounting Room in 2006. My role within the company is attending to the filing and archiving.
My husband and I have lived in New Plymouth all our lives and we have an adult family of two. My interests include walking, indoor and outdoor bowls, Scottish County Dancing and spending time with family and friends.
